This show was first presented by Phillip Rose, Pat Fowler and Seven Arts Productions at the Anta Theatre, NYC on Nov. 18, 1964. Synopsis: This is the story of Felix, a young aspiring writer who lives in a San Francisco bachelor apartment in the 1970s. Pretentious and pompous, Felix finds himself awakened in the middle of the night by pounding on his front door. His visitor is Doris, a young "actress and model," who is furious. It seems that Felix had noticed (by spying through his binoculars) that Doris has been entertaining gentlemen for money in her apartment. Considering it his civic duty to inform her landlord, he does so. The landlord then kicks Doris out of her apartment and, since she has nowhere to go, she moves in with Felix, despite his protests. Needless to say, the two eventually grow fond of each other. Felix sees Doris as a goodhearted girl who refuses to use her mind, and he sets out to educate her. Doris recognizes Felix as a snob and sets out to educate him. Both learn from each other and become more complete human beings. ![]() News Herald Reviews: |
