A Few Good Men

Capt. Markinson talks to the accused

This show was originally presented at the Heritage Repertory Theatre of the University of Virginia, Department of Drama, and later in association with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts at the Music Box Theatre in New York, on Nov. 15, 1989.

Synopsis:

A taunt, military drama in which a lackadaisical, spoiled Navy attorney is assigned to defend a "hopeless" case of hazing which led to the death of a young sailor in a Navy outpost in Cuba. With the help and prodding of a serious female JAG officer, the defense lawyer is compelled to investigate the case. The result is a rousing courtroom battle in which the corruption of a Marine officer is exposed and the young defense attorney comes of age, gaining the respect of his peers.

The action takes place in various locations in Washington, D.C., and on the Untied States Naval Base, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The time is summer, 1986.
