Lend Me A Tenor

 A play by Ken Ludwig

This play was first performed in 1985 at the American Stage Festival in Milford, New Hampshire.

Synopsis: A modern comic gem about a temperamental opera singer who makes life miserable for those around him, including an aspiring young tenor who idolizes him. It is set in a hotel suite in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1934.

Lee Ann Harbin will be directing this show, assisted by Jeannine Waters.

Director's Notes:

Q: What did you like about this play to make you want to direct it?
Lee Ann: I saw it years ago in college and thought it was marvelous…very funny, fast-paced, and energetic…..have wanted to direct it ever since.

Q: Is there anything especially challenging in this production?
Lee Ann: The fast pace and the blocking can be especially challenging in this show, as well as learning the Italian lines and the opera style.

Q: Do you have any comments on the show itself?
Lee Ann: This is somewhat the "Murphy's Law" type show…if it CAN go wrong, it DOES! One laugh after another….guaranteed to make your sides sore!
